Bonus Sm "(Schadenfreiheits-)Rabatt" per. Wortschatz fach. (19. Jh.) Entlehnung. Über das Englische entlehnt aus l. bonus "gut" (s. Bon), Gegensatz ("Aufschlag") ist Malus. Die besondere Bedeutung hat sich wohl im Börsenslang entwickelt.
   Ebenso nndl. bonus, nschw. bonus, nnorw. bonus, nisl. bónus.
